NY Classical Theatre: Dog Nights
Two nights a year, dogs are welcome at a free Shakespeare performance in Central Park.
NY Classical Theatre's Dog Nights are part of their free summer run of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar in Central Park, taking place on Wednesday, June 3 and Saturday, June 13. The photo booth opens at 6:30 PM and the performance begins at 7:00 PM.
The first 20 dogs to arrive each night get a treat bag and a special gift from Dooloop. Prizes from Zoomies are also up for grabs. Elizabethan ruff collars are provided for dogs and their humans to wear at the photo booth before the show.
NY Classical performs with no fixed stage. The actors move through the park and the audience follows, scene by scene, covering about two city blocks on paved paths and grass. The show runs under two hours with no intermission. Your dog comes with you throughout.
Reservations are free and encouraged so NY Classical can reach you with weather updates. Walk-ups are always welcome.
