NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon

Kick off the winter race season with the NYCRUNS Big Apple Half Marathon, one of New York City's favorite half marathons. This USATF-certified race offers runners a challenging and scenic course through Central Park.

The Course

The half marathon course starts on East Drive at 103rd Street and makes two full loops of the park before finishing on West Drive at 102nd Street.

All NYCRUNS courses are USATF-certified.

• Athlete Arrival: 6:00 AM
• Race Start: 8:00 AM

Amenities

• Bag Check (opens at 6:00 AM) - You must use one single clear bag to check your gear. If your bag isn't clear, NYCRUNS will provide you with a clear bag (18" x 24").
• Bathrooms (open at 6:00 AM) - Portable bathrooms will be available throughout the event.
• Hydration - Water and electrolyte fluids will be available on the course. Cans of Smartwater will be available at the finish.
• Post-Race Refreshments - Hydration, bagels (with a schmear), and fresh fruit will be available at the finish.
• Swag (distribution begins at 6:00 AM) - Participants will receive a finishers medal and an official race shirt. 
• Photos - Participants will receive one complimentary photo and the option to purchase additional photos.

Results & Awards

Results will be emailed and the full results will be posted on the Results Page after the race. 

Awards will be given to the top three male, female and non-binary runners overall.

Prize Money

Prize money will be distributed as follows:

• First Place: $1,000
• Second Place: $500
• Third Place: $250
• Fourth Place: $200
• Fifth Place: $150
• Sixth - Tenth Place: $100
