Partnerships Academy Spring Workshop Series:

Partnerships For Parks is pleased to announce the upcoming Partnerships Academy series: How to Start or Join a Community Park Group, which will offer workshops on the topic in each of the five boroughs this spring.

Partnerships Academy is a year-round, free training program that supports community-based park groups and individual volunteers to achieve success. Beginning February 18 in Brooklyn, New Yorkers interested in joining an existing local park group, or starting a new one of their own, can attend one of five planned workshops in this introductory Academy series.

Participants will learn the first steps and best resources in starting a new group, and will hear from experienced park group leaders in their borough. The workshops will also touch on how community parks stewards bring programs and funding to their parks, and advocate for political support.
