Venezuelan singer, Pia Paez will sing for you in Spanish, Portuguese and English!
La Pia Paez, is an accomplished pop vocalist, songwriter, and producer hailing from Mérida, Venezuela. Her upbringing in Mérida, along with her experiences residing in São Paulo, Brazil, and her current base in Brooklyn, New York since 2016, have greatly shaped her musical journey.
Pia Paez's unique sound seamlessly blends elements of piano-driven pop, R&B, rock, Afro-Latin rhythms, and electronic beats. Within her music and compositions, traces of Venezuelan folk melodies and Brazilian influences can be discovered.
Her poignant lyrics delve into the perspectives of women, romanticism, and the challenges faced by immigrants, drawing inspiration from her personal voyage and the socio-political crisis gripping her homeland.
She performed “The Great Gig in The Sky” live for the Venezuelan symphonic tribute to Pink Floyd, Pinkfonik, directed by Daniel Hurtado.
The Festival takes place on the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center plaza, inside Central Park at 110th Street (Central Park North) between Lenox Avenue and Fifth Avenue.
