Play Safe in the Sun Program at Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

The Women's Dermatologic Society is partnering with the Susan G. Komen 'Race for the Cure' to raise awareness among the rapidly growing running community that prolonged outdoor running increases the risk of skin cancer. Practically, runners can reduce their risk by applying water-resistant sunscreens, wearing protective clothing, and undergoing yearly screening.

Event Details: The event is held from 7:00am-11:00am on Saturday, September 10, 2016 and helps to fund local breast health programs and cutting-edge research to find the cures for breast cancer.
