Pumpkin Flotilla: Halloween on the Harlem Meer
Don't miss this enchanting night of floating jack-o’-lanterns!
This event has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
Experience a magical autumn evening and join a beloved Central Park tradition as the Harlem Meer glows with dozens of floating jack-o’-lanterns for Halloween.
Want to see your pumpkin in the flotilla?
Bring your pumpkin masterpiece to the Charles A. Dana Discovery Plaza between 4:00 and 5:30 PM to enter. Pumpkin entries should weigh about 8 pounds carved (roughly the size of a soccer ball, with the lid on).
Help protect the Harlem Meer and its wildlife! Avoid using paints, glitter, markers, food dyes, paper, or plastic when decorating your pumpkin. Only natural, biodegradable pumpkins can join the flotilla. Candles and lights to illuminate the pumpkins will be provided.
Space on the float is limited and is offered first-come, first-served—so make sure to arrive early! You can reclaim your pumpkin at 7:00 PM sharp at Harlem Meer Beach (near Fifth Avenue and E. 108th Street).
