Soap Box Derby Race

The FIRST EVER Soap Box Derby Race in Central Park! Over 200 underprivileged children will go for the GOLD! This is the culmination of their 8 week STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) program.

Their NYC non-profit provides STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education and character/self-esteem building and FUN via soap box derby racing.

The Thousand Feet Project (TFP) is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of underprivileged youth through soapbox derby races! A 1000 feet is the length of a soapbox derby race course and serves as a metaphor for the distance participants must go to be successful in life. Life is a race and these kids face tough challenges. It' time for a come-from-behind WIN!
