Location: Central Park: At the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, Central Park (located inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues)
In this months edition of the Central Park Conservancy's free programs for adults, join the Amateur Astronomers Association as they gaze at the stars among the city lights of Manhattan. This winter evening's highlights will include the constellations Cassiopeia and Orion, the crescent Moon, the planet Mars, and early in the evening the planet Jupiter. Also enjoy an astronomy lecture and slideshow with Rich Rosenberg, President of the Amateur Astronomer's Association.
Bring your own binoculars if you have them; telescope will be provided. Refreshments are provided and there is plenty of time for mingling. FREE. For adults. Advance registration not required. For more information, call (212) 860-1370.
