The Metropolitan Opera's free Summer Recital Series brings rising Met stars to Rumsey Playfield at Central Park SummerStage each summer for an evening of arias and duets under the open sky.
2026 Program and Performers
This year's program is presented as part of Carnegie Hall's United in Sound: America at 250 festival and features works by American composers performed by four artists from the Met Opera's current roster.
- Soprano Emily Pogorelc is an American singer who recently made her house debuts at the Vienna State Opera, Opernhaus Zurich, and Dutch National Opera in the 2025-26 season.
- Tenor Joshua Blue is a British-American singer whose recent credits include Mozart's Requiem at the Hollywood Bowl and the role of Tamino in the Met's revival of The Magic Flute.
- Baritone Edward Nelson is an American singer who starred as Tracy Bacon in the Opening Night world premiere of Mason Bates's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay at the Met, and has since made debuts at Houston Grand Opera and at opera houses in Baden-Baden, A Coruña, and Liège.
- Pianist Dimitri Dover has been a member of the Met's music staff since 2016, where he trained through the Lindemann Young Artist Program.
