"Wild Inside" World Premiere at Central Park's Great Hill

Sandbox Films and Rooftop Films present the world premiere of the Flaco documentary on July 29.

"Wild Inside" tells the story of Flaco, the Eurasian eagle-owl who escaped the Central Park Zoo in 2023 and lived wild in Manhattan until his death in 2024. Director Penny Lane's 95-minute film traces Flaco's path from captivity to the city's rooftops and trees.

This screening is the film's first public showing anywhere, two days before it opens at the IFC Center on July 31.

• The lawn opens at 7:30 PM and the film starts at 8:30 PM.
• RSVP is encouraged but not required, and doesn't guarantee a spot.
• Seating is first come, first served.
• Bring a blanket and settle in early.
• Great Hill sits between West 103rd and 107th Streets, reachable through the West 106th Street entrance.
