Each year the NYRR holds a half marathon in Central Park in honor of Fred Lebow, founder of the NYC Marathon.
The start of the race begins on East Drive, just south of the 102nd street Cross Drive.
Participants run north through the Harlem Hills and continue south on West Drive to the lower loop of the park before heading north on East Drive and passing the start line. Approximately 2 and a half loops completes the course.
