May 18th, 2025 - The 40th Annual AIDS Walk New York - the largest HIV/AIDS fundraising Walk in the U.S. - took place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Central Park, drawing about 10,000 participants.
This year, the four-mile walk raised over $1.9 million to support HIV services provided by GMHC and other public health organizations in the Tri-State Area. The event also featured a four-mile run, Masala Bhangra dance warm-up, free HIV testing, free food, a vogue performance by the iconic House of Miyake Mugler, and a Paradise Garage dance party.
Despite medical advances, HIV remains a critical issue, especially in low-income and marginalized communities. The event underscores the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS and the need for continued funding and awareness.
