Sept 21, 2023 - Outside the garden wall of the Villa Albertine is a new 4-foot-tall bronze representation of the Little Prince, the beloved character from the cherished French children's book, Le Petit Prince.
Crafted by the renowned French sculptor Jean-Marc de Pas, this new artwork commemorates the 80th anniversary of the book's publication in 1943 and the enduring impact it has had on generations.
The sculpture, molded from clay and cast into a single bronze piece, was skillfully crafted in the sculptor's studio in Normandy, France, and has just been unveiled at the historic Payne Whitney Mansion within Villa Albertine, located on Fifth Avenue.
