The co-creator of the 2005 Central Park art installation "The Gates" has passed away due to complications from a ruptured brain aneurysm. She was 74.
Jeanne-Claude and her husband Christo spent 26 years bringing The Gates together. Christo is deeply saddened, but vows to keep the promise they made to each other many years ago to make sure that their art lives on.
