NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) reports that tempertures have gone from record breaking high temps of 72 degrees 12 days ago, to dramatically bitter cold in the first few days of the new year. This morning in Central Park we started the day at 11 degrees with wind chills of 4.
They interviewed an Upper West Side man who was headed to Central Park for an early-morning jog who said he was wearing “double of all the usual stuff.” While two weeks ago he was wearing shorts and a tee shirt.
This cold is not staying around long, by tomorrow we will be back in the 40's during the day. So far this season Central Park has only seen a trace of snow, the average is 5.9 inches.
