The New York Times posted on their web pages a unique video looking at how people were coping with the heat in Central Park. This past Wednesday went into the record books as a tie for the third hottest July 29 in recorded history, sharing the spotlight (or sunlight) with 2002 and 1894.
While the park was quieter than usual, the sellers of ice cold water and ice cream were selling out quicker than on a typical summer day.
While many New Yorkers were found in the shady spots of the park, many tourists could be found basking in the sunshine.
