Today, with 42 million guests annually, Central Park is nearly spotless due to the dedication and hard work of the Central Park Conservancy workers. They scoot around in carts daily picking up litter and emptying trash cans.
This month, Central Park Conservancy workers will be rolling out a brand new fleet of 52 electric garbage carts.
The new carts are a big step up from the old gas-powered vehicles: no more noise and no more fumes. They’re sleeker and are considered more environmentally friendly.
