Central Park Zoo released footage of the two resident snow leopard cubs frolicking in Friday's stow storm. The cubs were caught on film playing in the 6 1/2 inches of snow that covered the ground in their enclosure.
Though snow leopards have been kept at Central Park Zoo since 2009, these two cubs were the first ever to be born there. The cats are among the world's most endangered species, with an estimate of between 3,500 and 6,500 remaining in the world - roughly 600 of those residing in zoos.
