A haunted castle right in Central Park? Find out for yourself. Pete and Stew Kandel aka the "Ghost Doctors" are conducting tours of the paranormal in Central Park and they have recently added Belvedere Castle after finding possible evidence of activity there.
Belvedere Castle sits atop Vista Rock - one of the highest spots in the park. It was designed in 1869 by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Mould as a fantasy attraction.
In the early 1980s Belvedere Castle housed the Henry Luce Nature Observatory. "We did pick up some readings upon investigating the castle in NYC's Central Park, and what's interesting to note, is that Henry Luce the famous publisher also has a study center named after him in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which when we investigated also displayed some activity as well. And this is quite an interesting coincidence," says Stew.
