Jan 21st, 2026 - Horseback riding is returning to Central Park for the first time in nearly two decades. Miller’s Horse Company, in partnership with Manhattan Saddlery, announced plans to launch guided rides along the Bridle Path as early as March 2026.
The company says it will prioritize horse welfare, transporting animals from a private outer-borough stable and limiting rides to small, supervised groups.
With the exception of some smaller companies that have hosted rides, the revival marks a nostalgic return to a Central Park tradition that ended in 2007 when the Claremont Riding Academy closed after 115 years.
