
Hundreds of people who had tickets to last weekend's Electric Zoo music festival and were turned away on September 1, gathered in Central Park. City officials and festival organizers canceled the third day of the festival when two people died after taking MDMA at the festival. Would-be festivalgoers started congregating at Central Park with numbers swelling into the hundreds after being summoned out by texts and tweets to meet at the park and at Columbus Circle. Reportedly, police began arresting congregants, some of who eventually moved on to Times Square.
