On Sunday, Central Park came alive with youthful energy. Despite the rain, nearly 1,000 youngsters gathered to lace up their running shoes and participate in the inaugural Rising New York Road Runners Kickoff event.
The race catered to participants aged 2 to 18, offering various distances, from short dashes to a 1.5-mile run.
For many of these young runners, their ultimate goal is to complete the full marathon in the future. They hope this race is a pivotal step toward realizing that dream.
