New York City hotel rooms just got discounted for the summer - that includes The Plaza Hotel, located at the southern end of Central Park. You can get a weekend in June for around $660 a night, which is an 18% discount from the usual price. Mayor Bill de Blasio has signed an executive order suspending the city's hotel occupancy tax from June through August. With the return of Free Shakespeare in the Park, SummerStage concerts, open museums surrounding the park and of course the endless daily happenings in the park, there's plenty to enjoy.
