March 20, 2023 - Some lawns in Central Park are closed for the winter season in order that they can recover from all our footsteps during the rest of the year. And some grounds remain open. But all are maintained and cared for by the Central Park Conservancy which monitors their conditions by mowing, seeding, aerating, and sampling the soil.
