Alex Justins, 27, was swept away when her boyfriend popped the question in Central Park. Edward Grant, who is also 27, knew that his girlfriend was crazy about pugs, so he asked the NYC Pug Meetup group to help him arrange this unforgettable event.
The proposal was staged on Bow Bridge with the help of 10 people and their 16 pugs, which all showed up wearing heart-shaped helium balloons. On bended knee, with a little speech prepared, Ed popped the magic question in front of the crowd that had gathered and Alex happily accepted.
She is hoping to have her own pug soon and call it Bow, after the bridge where her fiance proposed.
