The mayor made the announcement via Twitter, this morning that he will reveal new traffic restrictions for Central Park. He said more details will be released later today (Thursday morning). Cars are already banned from Central Park on major holidays and weekends. According to CBS New York News, he would ban cars on the north end of the park.
