May 25, 2023 - The Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park is turning 100 years old this summer and has been a cherished venue for generations of New Yorkers, hosting a diverse range of music and festivals.
It has featured performances by notable artists such as John Philip Sousa, Duke Ellington, and John Lennon's memorial service.
At the same time, the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts (NOC) is celebrating its 118th year of providing free orchestral concerts in the park. As a special tribute, NOC has commissioned unique "fanfares" for each concert this summer.
