The Daily News reported how New Yorkers were enjoying a few days of higher than normal tempertures in Central Park this past weekend. This time last year we had already seen our fair share of snow.
The mercury rose to a record high of 67 degrees in Central Park Sunday, smashing the previous high set at 64 degrees on the date in 1923. New Yorkers enjoyed the toasty temperatures by doing yoga in the park and ice skating without their coats in Central Park.
The unseasonably warm weather is projected to cool off a bit on Wednesday with the high in the low to mid-50s. That’s still around 14 degrees above historic averages in the 40s.
