“Drifting in Daylight: Art in Central Park,” will feature 7 to 10 sculptural, social and interactive works commissioned by the Central Park Conservancy to celebrate its 35th anniversary, each Friday and Saturday afternoon from May 15 through June 20.
This may be the most geographically expansive arts project in Central Park since the artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s 2005 installation the Gates was placed along 23 miles of paths in 2005.
“Drifting in Daylight” offers subtle artistic interventions and is intended to celebrate the quiet nuances of the park.
