December 4, 2024 - The annual NYE Midnight Run firework shows will not take place in Central Park or Prospect Park this year, due to the ongoing drought affecting NYC.
In Prospect Park, the fireworks have been replaced by a drone light show, and the NYRR is still exploring other options for Central Park.
