Sep 29th, 2026 - The TCS New York City Marathon Kids Kickoff is a free, two-day event for kids ages 2 to 18, and this year it is more than twice the size of the 2025 event.
On Saturday, October 24, events take place in Staten Island, the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn, with nearly 500 kids at each. The finale is Sunday, October 25, in Central Park, starting at 9 AM. About 3,000 kids ages 8 to 18 race from the marathon finish line, with a 1K run without competition and a 1.4-mile race with timing.
Finishers receive medals, and every participant gets a T-shirt while supplies last. Registration is free and open at nyrr.org.
