November 20, 2024 - The Central Park Conservancy is advocating for protected bike lanes on the park's crosstown transverses, particularly focusing on the 86th Street transverse due to its strategic location.
Proposed changes include redesigning roads to enhance cyclist safety by reducing vehicle lanes and adding protected bike lanes on Fifth Avenue, Central Park West, and crosstown routes.
