The new SummerStage sounds system.
For its 25th year, SummerStage, the free series of events and concerts hosted at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park, is introducing a brand new and quarter of a million dollar sound system.
Paid for by Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer's office, it was designed and installed in order to limit the level of noise that 5th Avenue neighbors hear. Yet, the audio experience is enhanced for the audience as it is geared towards the concert-goers.
