Two years after renovations began, Tavern on the Green is finally taking reservations for dinner service beginning April 24.
Philadelphia restaurateurs, Jim Caiola and David Salama, have refashioned the restaurant with a nod to its late 19th-century era origins as a sheepfold.
In addition to the main dining room which seats 132, there is a bar room with room for walk-ins and reserved seating for 42, and a third dining room that can be booked for private parties which seats 130.
The same straightforward, ingredient-driven American menu by executive chef, Katy Sparks, will be offered in each of the rooms. Dinner will be served nightly, from 5 to 11. A prix fixe brunch will be served Mother's Day weekend, May 10 and 11. Daily lunch service will start May 13, with additional terrace seating if work is completed as scheduled.
