The cherished tradition of the Central Park Conservancy Film Festival will take place from Aug 15 to Aug 18. Attendance is free.
This year’s event is once again presented in partnership with National Geographic Documentary Films.
Starting on August 15, the festival will commence with "The Space Race," a newly released feature that highlights the remarkable journey of America's pioneering black astronauts.
"Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold," will be presented on the 16th. Professional rock climber Alex Honnold pushes the boundaries of human endurance by conquering the towering "Ingmikortilaq" sea cliff in Greenland, previously the world's tallest unclimbed rock wall.
"Wildlife" on August 17 unveils the decades-spanning narrative of conservationist Kris Tompkins' efforts in establishing national parks across Chile and Argentina.
Concluding the festival on August 18, the film "We Feed People," directed by Ron Howard, delves into the story of World Central Kitchen, a disaster relief organization dedicated to providing nourishment during times of immense adversity.
