Central Park’s carousel is one of the largest carousels in the United States. It was designed by the Brooklyn firm Stein and Goldstein in 1908. The first carousel was destroyed in 1924 and was replaced with the vintage one found abandoned in an old trolley terminal on Coney Island. It can be found mid-park at 65th Street.
