TimeOut.com reports that it is the spookiest time of the year—Halloween! NYC in 2016 has no shortage of costume parties, festive fall street fairs and haunted houses to explore. Whether you like running around NYC doing every single one of the best things to do in the fall or you would rather curl up at home to watch the scariest fall movies, it should all have a Halloween theme, naturally.
One of the favorites is the annual Halloween parade and pumpin flotilla that happens at the Harlem Meer, in Central Park. The Central Park Conservany knows how to throw a party and have some fun for kids of all ages.
This is a free, spooktacular celebration complete with ghost stories, a costume parade, pumpkin carving and more. After the festivities settle down, 50 glowing jack o’lanterns (and possibly one of your creations) will set sail across the Harlem Meer at twilight. It’s going to be a magical sight!
