About the Davis Center
The Davis Center, opened in April of 2025, replaces the historic Lasker Rink and serves as a modern hub for recreation, relaxation and community engagement.
Reflecting Central Park's ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, the center incorporates recycled materials from the former rink, uses natural stone facades that harmonize with the park’s landscape, and integrates a green roof with skylights and walkways to connect elements of the park’s natural landscape.
Designed “with, by, and for” the Harlem community, the center prioritizes inclusivity, accessibility, and programs that reflect the diverse neighborhood’s needs and interests.
