Open year-round, the Tisch Children's Zoo offers a fun, interactive, and educational environment especially designed for toddlers and young children. It features a small petting zoo with animals such as goats, sheep, cows, pigs, rabbits, turtles, and waterfowl, with animal food available from dispensers so kids can feed them.
The nearby Acorn Theatre hosts daily performances, and kids can engage with bronze animal sculptures that teach different animal sounds.
The zoo was renovated in 1997 thanks to a generous donation from businessman Laurence A. Tisch and remains a popular spot for families to experience wildlife up close in a safe and entertaining setting.
