About Naumburg Orchestral Concerts
Since 1905, the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts have brought free, high-quality classical music to Central Park visitors. Founded by Elkan Naumburg, who donated the Naumburg Bandshell to New York City in 1923, this series is the oldest of its kind in the U.S., committed to engaging new audiences and supporting emerging composers and conductors in a welcoming outdoor setting.
