Boating in Central Park
Due to mandatory closures, the Loeb Boathouse dining rooms, bars, boats and gondola will be closed until restrictions are lifted, and will open again as soon as permitted.
Rent a boat at the Loeb Boathouse and row your way to the heart of the Central Park Lake, the second-largest body of water in Central Park that spans over 22-acres.
The Loeb Boathouse has a fleet of 100 boats, each of which seats four people. Renting a boat is ideal as a date activity, a wedding proposal, and also great for a picnic with friends.
You'll be able to get a closer view of water fowl that are hard to see from the shore, including the park's famous egrets, herons, and loons. Children will also enjoy helping to row the boat.
Classic Venetian Gondola tours are available, weather permitting. Experience the Lake in the way that it was originally designed for by Frederick Law Olmsted.
