Address and Boundaries
The park spans 843 acres and stretches from Central Park South (59th Street) in the south to 110th Street in the north, and from Fifth Avenue on the east to Central Park West (Eighth Avenue) on the west.The closest cross streets for each main entrance are 59th Street to the south, 110th Street to the north, and a series of entrances along both the east and west sides at major cross streets including 72nd, 79th, 86th, and 96th Streets.
Getting to Central Park
The park is accessible by subway from multiple lines running along both sides of Manhattan. On the west side, the B and C trains stop at 72nd, 81st, 86th, 96th, 103rd, and 110th Streets along Central Park West, and the 1, 2, and 3 trains stop at several cross streets along Broadway. The A, B, C, D, and 1 trains all stop at 59th Street/Columbus Circle at the south end of the park. On the east side, the 4, 5, and 6 trains run along Lexington Avenue with stops near the park's eastern boundary.
