NYRR Fred Lebow Half-Marathon 2026
The annual half-marathon celebrating Fred Lebow takes place entirely in Central Park.
The Fred Lebow half-marathon is one of the largest half-marathon events in the country. Thousands of runners join this friendly winter event, celebrating the man who believed running was for everybody.
Fred Lebow co-founded the NYC Marathon, completed 69 marathons in 30 countries, organized multiple other famous races, and was also president of NYRR for twenty years. Look for the bronze statue of Lebow in running gear checking his watch at East 90th Street as you make your way through the course!
The race begins at 8:00 AM sharp on East Drive, just south of the 102nd Street Cross Drive. Runners complete two full loops around Central Park for a total of 13.1 miles.
All participants will receive a cozy winter pom beanie to commemorate the race.
